It is weird to look back at my stuff and see all the different series. I guess, it gives me incite on how I work.  I’m not sure if it is something I can or should try to change, but, I suppose, it is good to be aware of.

I should be posting new stuff soon, and this trip down memory lane can end.

I was using this format for my collages for a short time, because I thought it was interesting, but I think the real reason was because, it fit really well on the home page of my website. A website, I haven’t updated in like 2 years, the portfolio page has mostly stuff from 2008, and  this is the only collage in this series that made it on to the site. I should probably make a note on my ‘to do’ list.

I made this on a goof, but I really like it. I’m not saying its one of my best, but it stuck in my head for some reason.

I traded ATC’s (artist trading cards) for a while. I like making really small collages, so its a good format for that. I got a bit burnt-out on it, but I might try it again someday.

This is a collage. I like it. Just playing with diptychs and composition. Also, the googly eyes are pretty funny.

Here is a word art piece were I took phrases from comments in an online art forum out of context. The title is kind of an arbitrary part of the series where the attribute was picked based on the general sentiment of the phrases.

I’m not sure I really need to do this blog. I mean, I have a website where I could easily post new work. I read somewhere that artist blogs aren’t really about the work posted they are about the person making the art. That people aren’t following to just look at the art, but also to be inspired by the creative process, the beliefs, and ideas of the artist themselves. All of which makes me want to run and hit the “delete account” button. I’m not sure I am all that open of a person, a bit shy, but I will try to share some thoughts. Maybe I’ll get used to it.

I have only old work to show until December, but I’ll try to include insights (not that anyone will read them) on the stuff I’ve done. Of course on this one I don’t have much to say, so I just went on and on about blogging.

This digital word art collage was inspired by comments about the last painting.
